My first book card

As my oldest daughter turned 19, I wanted to make her a special card for her too. And I have wanted to do a book card for some time, but I needed some more experience around before I got to it.
I love the cards where you can hide little secrets around, so here they are, have a look around =)

In the beautiful little ornament frame in the back it is an actually photo of my daughter.
I love the colours and the flowers, it reminds me of spring in my grandmothers garden.
I used Shapeabilities from Spellbinders, and letter dies from QuickKutz.

Tim Holtz in Norway

Woow, Tim Holtz came here, to my town, to give some lovin', to give some inspiration to all of us living nearby..tehe, and yes, I do!
I do live here, I did get a ticket, and I did get lots of lovin' and inspiration!  Time to try some new issues, as this might not be the right surroundings for Tilda, but I am getting there in time, anyway! Stay Curious, as he signed my book, and that is so true. Because there is always new stuff to see, new techniques to learn, new inspiration - GET ON WITH IT!

Dyan, who accompanied Tim with demoes, gave me truly inspiration for my best project, the receipt journal, which I never got start up..or actually I began, at last, but it was no scrapping, handwriting only.. But now I know better, right Dyan? It's all about just doing it, whatever, whenever, however!! Her journal is just about awesome, or what??
(But tell me again Dyan, how do you do it..tehee =)

Treasure weekend ..

This weekend I had my annual Christmas dinner party, the ladies get together before opening December, so there has been no time for cardmaking these days.

But, I was trying to fix my sewing machine yesterday, as it only gives me a chaos of threads on the bottom side. This sewing machine was actually the first thing I bought leaving home more than 20 years ago, but I can't say it has been used too much..
But sadly, it seems like I have to leave it in for a service, I couldn't fix the problem. But it got a nice cleaning anyway, as I put it apart, peace by peace.

And so on, I also got to reorganize the sewing box!
And what I found, lots of scrapping TREASURES, wohoo!
Photos, ribbons, buttons, beautiful stones, lots of stuff to use. I just can't wait to get back in business -
but I also catched a cold this weekend, and have been laying down with feaver and a sore nose =(
Hopefully today I may sit down by my kitchen table ;-)

I think I also need to phone the vet, as my sweet little dog seem to feel worse than before =(
He was doing so well, but now he is limping again, and that should not be so.
I am also checking out swimming rehabilitating for him, maybe we can get startet before christmas.

There's a storm outside, and he does not want to go for a walk now or then..

Tilda waiting for Christmas

Jippii, today i got my order from Korthobby.no, lots of beautiful tiny stuff to my cards!
So then I finally also got the final touch on this vintage Christmas Tilda card, she is here waiting for Christmas.

I am sorry for not remembering where I find the tutorial, but now I know what to do with the leftovers when I cut the flowers for the cards..cool tiny spirals/swirls (?), and I used some Star Dust to make them sparkle. Totally adorable, and no leftovers =D
And since I love sparkling the flowers also got som Stardust , and the circle around Tilda.

Paper: Bazill and Magnolia "Sweet Christmas Dreams"
Stamp: Tilda with teddybear and Julepost (Christmas Mail) from North Stamps
Martha Stewart punch
Little tag from korthobby.no
(Pearls from earlier leftovers)
