Treasure weekend ..

This weekend I had my annual Christmas dinner party, the ladies get together before opening December, so there has been no time for cardmaking these days.

But, I was trying to fix my sewing machine yesterday, as it only gives me a chaos of threads on the bottom side. This sewing machine was actually the first thing I bought leaving home more than 20 years ago, but I can't say it has been used too much..
But sadly, it seems like I have to leave it in for a service, I couldn't fix the problem. But it got a nice cleaning anyway, as I put it apart, peace by peace.

And so on, I also got to reorganize the sewing box!
And what I found, lots of scrapping TREASURES, wohoo!
Photos, ribbons, buttons, beautiful stones, lots of stuff to use. I just can't wait to get back in business -
but I also catched a cold this weekend, and have been laying down with feaver and a sore nose =(
Hopefully today I may sit down by my kitchen table ;-)

I think I also need to phone the vet, as my sweet little dog seem to feel worse than before =(
He was doing so well, but now he is limping again, and that should not be so.
I am also checking out swimming rehabilitating for him, maybe we can get startet before christmas.

There's a storm outside, and he does not want to go for a walk now or then..

Tilda waiting for Christmas

Jippii, today i got my order from Korthobby.no, lots of beautiful tiny stuff to my cards!
So then I finally also got the final touch on this vintage Christmas Tilda card, she is here waiting for Christmas.

I am sorry for not remembering where I find the tutorial, but now I know what to do with the leftovers when I cut the flowers for the cards..cool tiny spirals/swirls (?), and I used some Star Dust to make them sparkle. Totally adorable, and no leftovers =D
And since I love sparkling the flowers also got som Stardust , and the circle around Tilda.

Paper: Bazill and Magnolia "Sweet Christmas Dreams"
Stamp: Tilda with teddybear and Julepost (Christmas Mail) from North Stamps
Martha Stewart punch
Little tag from korthobby.no

Happy New Year

Yes very well, then my first vintage postcard has become a new one..
I just loved this card (postmarked 1904!), the beautiful colours wishing for a happy new year.
It made me look forward at spring and summer again, haha, and we haven't really began the winter..
So of course this had to be a vintage..
I think the flower "swirl" is quite adorable, I frosted with Frosted Lace. I also used tiny little pearls from my "career" in jewellery making, finally coming in use ;-)

I really have to work on my sketches, I never come out with the plan I made.. Actually I find the placing quite difficult. When I do the card I think it is great, if I leave the table to walk my dog, I think it looks just too much when I get back..

But anyway, here it is, wishing you all a Happy New Year =)

Papir: Snowfall Drift from Bo Bunny and Bazill
Alterations Fancy Fram from Jim Holtz/Sizzix
Cut with Shabeabilites from Spellbinders

Hobby Exhibition today

and guess where I ended up; at the "Used and Antique" stores..

I found some beautiful, authentic postcards, all of them stamped in early 1900's, I'm sooo            looking forward to make some  cards out of these!

And some lovely pinup pics, these will be awesome vintage cards! They are serial numbered, so I will have to make these some special!

I also found a fabulous "love on the roof" card, hand drawn, but it became very expensive, wouldn't know whom I could give it to...

My little sweetie wondered i we were going shopping some useful stuff to, haha, so of course we did. Some rolls of ribbons, flowers and a few lovely christmas decorating or the kitchen. And that she thought was fun stuff, we went home and she began on her fathers birthdaycard =)

So let's get to it ;-)

Vintage suitcase/birthdaycard

Tomorrow my youngest are celebrating her 10 years old party!
My surprise for her is going to London for her very first time, christmas shopping that is =)

So it had to be a travelling card, girlie and cute.

After three mistakes I finally came up with this card, and I am quite a bit proud of my self, at last =)
This suitcase die was my first die, but this is the first project I was able to finish!

Front: Decorated with a vintage monogram, a few adorable roses with ribbon and two adorable pearl spots, and of course her name, Julie.

Back: Tickets (printed from pc), stripes are the suitcase locker. The pocket was "sewn by hand" with a big needle.

Inside I made another pocket, hiding the birthday wish and some cute words. I thought this mini necklace fit just about, and became adorable. (I needed something to pay attention to, so she will find the note)
As luggage there is several tags pointed together with a strap and a pearl. The tags are decorated with the things to do in London, WinterWonderland, Madame Tussaud, city map of London, theatre.. I just forgot to take a pic before I pointed them together.

I made a kind of locker around the suitcase with the straps, a small napkin is also hiding the last secret, the coupon value for: SHOPPING IN LONDON. Back is decorated with leftovers from the suitcase. The white feather pumpkin is a mobile tag she have wanted for some time. Just to make sure she finds the last card.

I finally found my inspiration, here at http://carolynpeeler.typepad.com/cut_n_paste/2011/10/sizzix-fresh-vintage-blog-hop.html, thnx a lot!
Papir: Beautiful Dreamer Floral fra FabScraps
Dies: Magnolia Tag, Shapeabilities fra Spellbinders, Suitcase Scoreboard fra Sizzix
Alfabet: QuicKutz
Inkpad: Chestnut Roan

Scrappesnop hos ProMarker..

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Yeah, tre nye kort ferdige i dag =)
